Welcome to Socilove.com! Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect your personal information. By using Socilove.com, you agree to the terms of this policy.

This Privacy Policy applies to the websites, apps, events and other services we operate under the SociLove brand. For simplicity, we refer to all of these as our “service” in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

It goes without saying that we can’t help you develop meaningful connections if you don’t provide us with certain information about yourself, like basic profile details and the types of people you’d like to meet. Using our Service also generates certain information, like when you sign in and how you use it. We may also collect data from third parties, like when you access the Service through an account you have on another platform (like Facebook, Google, or Apple) or when you upload information from your account on another platform to complete your profile. If you’re interested in all the details, be sure to check out the following:

a. Data you give us

b. Data generated or automatically collected

c. Other data we collect with your permission/approval

We use your information for the following purposes:

3. How Do We Share Your Information?

We may share your information in the following situations:

4. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights:

For your protection and the protection of all our members, we may ask you for information to verify your identity or authority to act on behalf of a member before responding to the above requests. We don't want anyone else to take control of your data!

Please note that we may deny requests, including if we cannot verify your identity, if the request is illegal or invalid, or if it may violate another's trade secrets or intellectual property or privacy or other rights. If you would like to receive information about another member, such as a copy of messages you have received from another member, the other member will need to submit a request themselves.

To exercise these rights, you can contact us at [email protected].

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services or comply with legal obligations.

If you decide to stop using our service, you can close your account and your profile will no longer be visible to other members. Please note that we will automatically close your account after two years of inactivity.

Once the account is closed, we will delete your data as follows:

  • To protect the safety and security of our members, we implement a security retention period of three months after account closure or one year after account termination. During this period, we retain your data to investigate illegal or harmful behavior. Retention of data during this security retention window is in our legitimate interests and those of potential third-party victims.
  • We retain data in a limited way to comply with legal data retention obligations: in particular, we retain transaction data for 10 years to comply with legal tax and accounting requirements, credit card information for the period in which the user may object to the transaction, and “traffic data” / logs for one year to comply with legal data retention obligations. We also retain records of the consents given to us by our members for five years to ensure that we comply with applicable laws and demonstrate our compliance.
  • We retain data on a limited basis based on our legitimate interest: we retain customer service communications, customer service records and supporting data for 6 years from the date of communication to support our customer service decisions, enforce our rights in the event of a claim and enable our defence, and we also retain the imprecise location of the download/purchase transaction for five years to support our security efforts, we delete information regarding the existence of past accounts and subscriptions three years after your last account closure to enable appropriate and accurate financial forecasting and reporting, we retain profile data for one year for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims in the event of a potential lawsuit, and we retain data for as long as necessary to prevent members from opening a new account to ensure the safety and vital interests of our members.
  • Finally, we retain data on the basis of our legitimate interest in the event of a pending or potential issue, claim or dispute requiring us to retain data, and in particular, if we receive a valid legal subpoena or request requesting that we preserve the data (in which case we would need to retain the data to comply with our legal obligations) or if the data would be required as part of legal proceedings.

  • If and as legally permitted, we may retain and use data that does not by itself identify you or that cannot be specifically attributed to you for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to improve our service and create new features, technologies and services, and to keep Match Group services secure.

    6. Security Precautions

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information. However, remember that no system can be completely secure. Be careful when sharing your personal information.

    7. International Data Transfers

Because we operate a global service, sharing your data involves cross-border data transfers to other countries that may have different laws on data processing. Data transfers are often subject to what are called standard contractual clauses. These standard contractual clauses are commitments between companies transferring personal data and bind them to protect the privacy and security of your data.

    8. Children's Privacy

Our service is restricted to individuals who are 18 years of age or older. We do not allow individuals under the age of 18 on our platform. If you suspect a member is under the age of 18, please use the reporting mechanism available on the service.

    9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you via email or app when significant changes are made. We encourage you to review this policy regularly.
